After our initial consultation, and if we are a good fit for each other, we can go ahead and head over to the job site and personally assess the situation. We will then go ahead and talk you through what will be needed and the jobs that we would recommend. Just like a good doctor, we need to know exactly what is going on, until we prescribe something to you. Our specialist takes as much time as possible, to ensure that you understand everything that was laid out. So, this is your chance to ask any questions you may have within the process.

You shouldn't have to worry as much about fading with the basecoat clearcoat because there is no pigment in the clear to fade out. The clear could lose some gloss overtime, but the higher line paint I would guess should last 10 or more years. I've done most of my painting in shops and school and the cars go out the door and don't see them again . What I have painted at home I haven't owned for that many years or it was a side job and I don't see it anymore.

They don’t want you to be stuck at one position. So if you want to further your career at The Home Depot, this is the place to be. Proven experience in the direct to consumer retail business, merchandising execution, visual merchandising, new concepts, inventory management, channel management, and supplier management. We do not recommend this at all, as paint usually emits solvents into the air as it dries and can cause dizziness, headaches, nervous system problems, and many other side effects. Not to mention these are very carcinogenic fumes. We want the room to be well ventilated, and please wear respiratory protection when working with wet paint.

I have developed a new method of applying rustoleum as an automotive paint that is, in my opinion, vastly superior to applying it by roller. A method I have come to term The Poor Mans Paint Job. This method uses a high density foam brush as opposed to those other methods, resulting in a lot less sanding to finish the job. When you give us a call, we want to basically find the root cause of why you called.

When you feel comfortable, then go for the whole car. Also remember that with a $79.00 paint gun you can get get a good looking paint job, but with a $4000 paint gun you have more insurance that it will turn out better. The better the equipment the better the results, but technique is a huge factor. Okay, this post is a little old, but since I caught you asked a question...

Not to mention the cleanliness atmosphere that comes with new paint. Pro-tip, paints always need good adherence for it to stick and last a long time. Don’t hire your uncle eddy to do it, hire a qualified painter. Any paint job from one of the mass production paint shops, Maaco, Earl Shibe or whatever will be of low quality simply because they are interested in high volume at a low cost. That and talking you into $500 worth of body work while they're at it.

Benefits of working as a FT-Sales Associate - Paint-Day in Raleigh, NC:

As far as their paintjobs...I've seen good and I've seen bad. I think a lot of it depends on the manager and the type of people they hire. For others it depends on how particular you are on the paint. The bottom line is...YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Period. You pay for a $200 job you get a $200 job.

The side mirrors I painted as well so having them off of the car made that a lot easier. I also removed my body kit pieces as not to drip on them while I painted the car itself. I guess what you need to remove will be personal preference depending on your painting style and needs. Once everything is removed, you can really get to work.

Once you’ve finished painting, wait at least six to eight hours before putting anything back on the walls so the paint can properly dry. After using the the paint calculator to determine how much paint you’ll need, you can head to the store to purchase it, along with the other tools you’ll need for the job. The Home Depot is committed to being an equal employment employer offering opportunities to all job seekers including individuals with disabilities. A response to your request may take up to two business days. The hours, the time we come in, the time we get off.

Oh, there will be some sanding involved, but we will try to keep it to a minimum. Of course, if you are not happy with the finish without a final sand and polish, just prepare for that scenario ahead of time. Make sure to lay down enough coats throughout the procedure to be able to sand at the end if you like. However, I am a lazy SOB and would like to not have to sand too much.

The car on the front page was painted at home. Ohh yeah get some good 3m masking tape and don't use newspaper, use masking paper. The cheap masking tape either will not stick right and you'll get overspray on stuff, or will stick too much and won't come off when you go to unmask. I would stay away from the ebay paint, it doesn't have a hardener with it so you can't buff it out, it will never truely harden all the way through. Read all the labels on the paint you get and follow all the reduction and the mixing ratios and the spray pressure. See if the paint store guy or gal has a product sheet on it.

It’s just all around a good company to work for. 20% Contribute to the selection and merchandising of catalog products. Probably more than what is asked, but surely nothing less than what is agreed.

Exterior Painters

Evercoat makes good fillers, as well as many others. The best primer is a urethane primer that has a hardener with it. If you only have 2 small dents to fill I would buy a quart of plastic filler, you can always pick up more if needed. Go to autocolorlibrary.com to get an idea of prices and ppg's website is ppg.com. Click on auto refinish when you get there. MitMaks....I hate to say but maybe with that attitude, that's why you can't get a job there.

Probably only take one priming of a couple coats if a small dent, then another priming to fill the 180 scratches. Once you have all the bodywork areas done sand the whole truck with 320 dry on a da or 400 wet. They make 400 grit dry da too I believe, can't remember why I don't use it, think cause it tends to wear out to fast.
